The monthly program of Wellness programs continues.
Last Saturday, VSP staff shared their love of the outdoors by offering both a local walk a bike ride to anyone who wanted to enjoy fresh air and gentle exercise.
The walk started at the back of the cricket field and meandered through the farm and then through orchards and community forest land. Very quickly walkers felt that they were far away from campus surrounded by tall grasses and farm land and twirling lianas. Walkers chanced upon several gatherings of monks and local villagers paying respect to the forest and planting new trees in a local campaign to preserve over 700 rai of local community forest land. The route also passed by agricultural ponds reminding walkers of the King's vision of sufficiency economy and through a small rubber plantation.
At the same time, another group of parents and children spent two hours exploring different tracks and pathways by bike. The heavy rain of the previous night did not deter them and they returned happy, if not slightly muddy from their reconnaissance.

For those who prefer less physical well-being activities, the Tuesday Applied Mindfulness sitting group, organised by ACAM continues each week at 1630-1730 in the classrooms near Chum Shop.
