In September 2013, Aj Susan helped to coordinate a clothing drive to support people living around the border near Tak Province. The following letter was received.
The children that I try to support live in both Thai side and Myanmar side; they were in Tak province and around Ban Tha song yang village in remote area. Some children go to Thai school but some go to migrant school, they were poor their parents are farmer and gardener and some work as laborer. Thai school used to accept these migrant students but now there is not enough milk and room so they stop. These kids just wondering around, I try to help in migrant school by teaching Thai and English. The teachers in migrant school have no subsidy so they depend on donation things such as food, clothes and basic things like candle and soap. These children were in Tak province and near Ban Tha song yang village. Today,we deliver some foods and cloth that you sent to Sipokee school (the school in Burma side) and last Saturday and Sunday I gave some clothes to the students that I teach Karen and English class in the village.
God bless you.
