A small group of campers from Bangkok, Udon Ratchathani and Chiang Mai joined Songkran English Camp, developing the confidence and skills to use English in everyday conversation each morning and participating in a range of outdoor and teambuilding activities each afternoon. The group escaped the summer heat with a night camping in the cool of Doi Inthanon. Head of Traidhos Camps, Khun Jay reflected on the experiences the campers had had, removed from their usual comfort zone, eating healthily and away from the constant attention to gadgets. "All campers adapted quickly to camp life and united as a group interacting well with their new friends. We enjoyed working with them all."
Songkran Tennis Camp welcomed four Prem students over the five day period, some playing for seven hours each day and some joining for just a half day program. Students attended with good focus and despite the high temperatures concentrated on improving all aspects of their game. Coach LaDe was especially pleased with the way that none of them gave up on the way, happily attending all five days in a row. All of the students performed very well! The camp ended with each participant reflecting on personal achievements. It was great to welcome Elite student Mee Noi who participated in this camp to develop his leadership skills and also Coach Dan to train the young players each day.
Elsewhere on campus, three Junior students completed a five day Golf Camp which consisted of fifteen hours of instruction, with Pro Sid. During the week, all aspects of the game were introduced combining golf with fun. This included putting, chipping and the full swing. After learning skills, students competed in mini competitions which brought out the best in their learning experience. Pro Sid commented, "My achievement was receiving positive feedback from the parents on how their kids were enjoying it and one student expressing his keenness to be part of golf exploria term 4."
